Woodpeckers Day Out

I had a Woodpecker day at Old Pump House trail starting with this Orange Backed Woodpecker.

Not far from where this Orange Backed was sighted there were two Maroon Woodpeckers heard and seen pecking away on some dead bamboo trees. No chance for a clean shot.

And I supposed all that "kek kek kek" sound  of the Woodpeckers was a draw for the same kind  to congregate in a group  to forage...safety in numbers? or it was  just a good day for Woodpeckers.

This juv were perched very high up and was preening itself under the morning sun, how nice.  I wonder if that equate to us  relaxing  on a  beach bench under the coconut trees? Lousy background though.

Here are some of the commoners spotted.

A Little Spider Hunter

A Plain Sunbird.

An Oriental White-Eye with worm.
