Not far from where this Orange Backed was sighted there were two Maroon Woodpeckers heard and seen pecking away on some dead bamboo trees. No chance for a clean shot.
And I supposed all that "kek kek kek" sound of the Woodpeckers was a draw for the same kind to congregate in a group to forage...safety in numbers? or it was just a good day for Woodpeckers.
This juv were perched very high up and was preening itself under the morning sun, how nice. I wonder if that equate to us relaxing on a beach bench under the coconut trees? Lousy background though.
