Orang Utan Experience

Thank you all for visiting my blog page and  it was a satisfying trip despite of us not having the luck to  spot the big games.

On day 2 of  the river cruise, we spotted some Orang Utan and the alpha male Proboscis Monkey foraging among the trees along the river banks.

To be able to spot the alpha male was enough to let down my cool for not spotting the Borneo Pygmy Elephant and others. Trip no. 2 should not be too far away from now.

Anyhow, here are some of the mammals sighted and I hope you enjoy this virtual trip so far. And here is the latest survey on the Status and Conservation of Proboscis Monkeys (Nasalis larvatus) in Sabah, East Malaysia.

The mother and son photo below is my favourite.

A female Orang Utan feasting on ripe figs.

There were many Bee Eaters and Stork Billed Kingfishers along the river banks but not the Oriental Darter and the Storm Stork; that said, we did  spotted the Oriental Darter and the Storm Stock  flying across the river and it was rather unfortunate that I didn't get a good chance for any photography.

Later in the evening, we went out again for another river cruise and sighted the Oriental Pied Hornbill (m) and the Buffy Fish Owl from a distant.

Your photos are the reason I and my canon are coming to Malaysia in February, your wildlife and your photos look fantastic, Please, I do need advice on places to stay like renting a room central to places for shooting (photos)of the wildlife. and learning about your culture,

Wow, the eyes of the owls look so odd and funny. Interesting to note that.
