Bamboo Woodpecker

Seeing this Bamboo Woodpecker for the first time, in fact there were 3 of them pecking on three (3) different bamboo trees all at the same time. Even then, the thick foliages surrounding her make it challenging because a woodpecker typically start pecking from the bottom of a tree/bamboo in a upward manner. As she was working her way up, there were not many "open" section between trees/bamboos to make a clear shot.

This shot was made after stalking her for more than 15 minutes under the morning sun, phew!

The male wears a red/orangey crown.
