Yellow-Eared Spiderhunter

This Yellow-Eared Spiderhunter came unannounced when I was busy photographing the Blue Crowned Hanging Parrot feasting on ripe Rambutan.

Oh, that protruding tongue.
Looks like Spectacled Spiderhunter to me ;-).

Doc,
The Spectacled Spiderhunder wears a complete eye orbital ring, whereas the Yellow Eared Spiderhunder have a half orbital, if I am not wrong.

Have a great Puasa Month to all my Muslim friends.

Great shot of a Yellow-Eared Spiderhunter. This is still a youngster. She's smaller and less fat than the Spectacled SH.They look almost identical except for the ear covert and the size of beak. I know both species are there.
