Crested Fireback

This couple were spotted foraging at the camping ground (@Kuala Tahan) early in the morning.

The female has brown plumage.

Very interesting birds - I like the way you have photographed the female showing the beautiful eye.

I saw only the males (three of them), but none of the female sp.
Very challenging to photograph at 7.30 in the morning.

Both new birds to me, I like the Great Argus below as well, does he have a call like a peacock?

The couple did not make any call at all while I was observing them, thet were bsusy foraging for their morning meal.
I am planning a another trip to Taman Negara (National Park) soon, we will see.
