Little Bronze Cuckoo

Spotted this Little Bronze Cuckoo perched low at Kuala Selangor Nature Park and he was aptly named because of its beautiful bronze plumage (refer to photograph 2).

No clean perched shots though, sorry.

do you know what species they parasitise?

I don't know, do you? Parasitoidism, a relationship in which the host is always killed by the parasite such as moths, butterflies, ants, flies.

This is a beautiful bird. I can imagine what he looks like perched and a side view. Wow.

Living in such wonderful places, so different from where I have lived, you might enjoy a look at The Hamlet of Gordon, Ohio. It is where I was born and raised and it is how small hamlets used to be and this one still exists.

Yes, the story is real. It happened a long time ago and was reported in the newspapers. I found the story while looking through old newspaper archives.

Thanks for visiting my blogs about Gordon, Ohio.
